The Initiated Writer™ On-line Class
The Initiated Writer: An online writing experience where you explore and develop ideas through journaling and writing. Develop your writer’s voice; explore the wider world of ideas through the use of expert writing prompts. Discover how to express your truth through the written word. Write about that personal life experience or knowledge in a way that reaches readers. Make what is meaningful to you, meaningful to your readers. You will receive personal instruction and individualized writing prompts from me. It is a 5+ session on-line class, via emails. (Comes to a total of 7 lessons).
Cost is only $250.00, and includes one to one help with your writing project from an experienced author and writing instructor. I will consult on and respond to 4 pages of your writing after the completion of each lesson, as well as engage with you around your journaling. After completion of the class I will consult up to 10 pages of your writing (a $100 value alone).
After you sign up I will send out the WELCOME LETTER with questions and prompts to get us started. After you respond to the welcome I will send you your first lesson. Each time you finish one lesson and send me your 4 pages, I will respond personally to your pages and send you the next lesson. You will have an entire year to finish the class material. After you send me the pages for lesson #5 (the final lesson), I will send you the final INTEGRATION lesson. Any time after you send me your completed 5th lesson, you can send me up to 10 pages to critique (within the year deadline). Join any time, go at your own pace.
I had been offering the Initiation Course for over 10 years and put together a book proposal based on this year-long course. A publisher accepted it so then I had to get to work translating this material into a book. A book that people could use as a personal transformative experience. I wanted them to sense me there with them as they read and took their own personal initiatory journey. I also encouraged my readers to use the material to facilitate their own circles, which many have. The challenge for me was HOW to put a year-long course down in a book. I couldn’t just lift from my notes. So, I came up with a template (the medicine wheel, the Initiation wheel, where people enter in the south). And placed in the wheel's directions the course and its explorations and lessons. This worked so well (and I have done similar practices to write my first book, The Wheel of Initiation being my 6th book;, I designed an on-line course to help writers find their personal templates and myths so as to write their material. I created the The Initiated Writer. Writers from around the world have taken their personal experiences and knowledge and translated it into something meaningful to writers using this on-line class. You can too!

Life is without meaning
You bring the meaning to it
The meaning of life is

Being alive is the meaning.

I joined Julie’s writing circle with a wisp of an idea and no book writing experience. Nine months later, I had completed manuscript. Julie lives the Writer’s Life. A gifted and generous teacher, she transmits what she has learned in her 25 years of writing and publishing to her clients and groups. Julie’s coaching and the atmosphere she created in the writing circle provided the perfect environment for my writing. I highly recommend Julie’s Writing Circles, Writers’ Days, and Writeshops.–Natalia Erehnah, author of Swan Mothers: Discovering Our True Selves by Parenting Uniquely Magnificent Children www.swanmothers.com
